It worked. Or, at least, it looked like it did, at first. Ilah saw the reptile glancing at the mouserabbit, and then sprint to catch it. Its owner, however, didn't seem able to control the animal properly, it looked more like the contrary. Ilah watched the scene with a frown of disapproval. You shouldn't take such a dangerous animal around if you can't control it. Didn't anyone teach him? She saw the reptile take over, the man fell to the ground and then... nothing. He didn't move. She waited a couple of second, unsure of the next course of actions. Was she supposed to run? But what if the man was conscious? Mom made extremely clear she had to be sure she wasn't going to be seen under any circumstance and no matter what. Maybe, if she was fast enough... she crawled out of the bushes and ran towards the river, without loosing eye-contact with the man on the ground. She slowed down as she reached her sledge. He still wasn't moving. Ilah took her doll and the sledge up.

The reptile was now back, and it sniffed its master as if it was going to eat him... then he sniffed around and it seemed to notice Ilah. The child stood still, without fear, and the mongoose dragon motioned in her direction. It really looked like Qiang. The reptile slowed down as it reached Ilah and the child blinked in surprise, slowly walking closer and closer. The reins were hanging loose on its side and Ilah took them. Exactly like the one she used fot Qiang... "Qiang?" she asked, surprised. She caressed the big reptile and it seemed to enjoy it. Yes. She would have recognized it everywhere, that was Qiang, but how did it end up there?

"Come with me" she decided, walking up the cliff and dragging the reptile along. Soon she reached the house carved in the stone. "Mom! Mom!" she cried, running through the field with Qiang at her side. Iris opened the window, she was about to complain for Ilah's timing, but when she noticed the reptile with her she left what she was doing to run outside. "Where did you get this... Qiang?!" she asked, as she was close enough to recognize the animal. "There's a man next to the river. He came with Qiang. I don't know who he is, but he hit his head and Qiang wanted to eat it and I took Qiang away..." she explained.

Iris nodded, waving to shut her up. "Get inside, close all the windows and take care of your brother. I'll fix this" she decided, looking directly in Qiang's eyes. "Look who's back" she grinned, tightening her grip on the reins as she jumped on its back. She could feel the animal displeasure at that gesture, but she didn't let him complain: she hit him with a harsh kick, encouraging it to get down to the stream.

Ilah was right. There was a man there. Iris stepped down the reptile, motioning it away. The snow beneath his head was stained with blood. It took her a long moment to realize she knew that man. "Antk?". Then she felt something. She wasn't exactly sure of what it was: she hated that man and there was a blind anger... but he was injured, powerless. That wasn't the kind of death she had in mind for him, after all what he did! Qiang jerked the reins, but she held her grip tightly. It could feel she was nervous, but it wasn't helping. Iris grumped, uncertain. She couldn't leave him there like that. Could she? She walked back and forth a couple of times, then she decided to go back home. She had almost reached the slope when she stopped again. "You don't deserve this" she informed him, carrying his unconscious body on Qiang's back.
